Government and it's Bans

Govt. bans the documentary 'India's Daughter' on Nirbhaya filmed by Leslee Udwin,a British Nationale, calling it a disrespect to Nirbhaya...A film which potrays the real nature of Indian men and their standard of thinking. While Govt. of India bans the film BBC decided to air it uncensored.

The ban itself shows what the men in our society want, don't wanna reveal their ugly side to the world. Most importantly, its been 2 and a half years since the #Nirbhaya incident but still the egotistical and unscrupulous thinking of men persists. It seems that Indian men just refuse outrightly to change their purview about women. As the women safety & security 'trended' (its irony!) after Nirbhaya incident in India, mainly among political community, men started using freedom, safety, security, independent etc. kind of phrases about women (atleast socially). But on the personal front they still are all same!
Govt. in India ban gutsy art and litereature works which potrays the real & ugly practices of society. And they allow- Rapists and Criminals in Parliament, Littering, Peeing in public, Religious extremism, LGBT discrimination, Cigarettes, Illegal donations, Corruption, moral policing etc. Govt. put no censor on Honey Singh's sexually explicit song's lyrics but would ban a film on serious issues. Biggest irony is govt. allowed funds only to 36 One-Stop-Rape-Crisis-Centres against proposed 660 in last year's budget and shelling out ₹2500 crores for a Sardar Patel's statue. Isn't govt. biased over women's independence??
Our PM shouts in the mic about women independence but does little for the same. He wants to wear ₹10L suit, collect extra cess and taxes from the working women and don't direct funds for their safety and well-being. In last three years, ₹3000 crores have been allocated towards Nirbhaya fund but not even a rupee has spent on the scheme. All we common-men can do is to work towards reforms and change this purview of men and govt. in the coming years.
