2. Dos and don'ts for YOUTH for a healthy lifestyle....

Hi friends.....

I'm Akshay Narnaware an engg. student.I'm a science enthusiast(physics) and also a health and fitness freak.
This is my 2nd post related to the topic. Here,I'm gonna suggest some eating habits.

These suggestions can be followed by the students who go health clubs and who don't go health clubs its really very beneficial.

I can understand the competitive atmosphere around because I'm also into it....We have to compete.....we have to struggle, work hard and smart to get the good grades in the semesters exams, sessionals (practicals) and achieve success in campus recruitment, training programs and may be more than that...... But in this race i think we are missing something really important "Our health".

Our busy schedules make it hard to find enough time to take proper care of the health. But if we make few little changes in our diet or eatings, we can get some really good results.
Diet is what which plays an important role in our health. All the chemical reactions in our body are depended upon our diet and genetics. But genetics are something which we can't alter or change but we can make a few changes in our diet to conduct the chemical reactions in our body steady and balanced.

Never miss your breakfast--
--Breakfast with high in protein, carbohydrates and fibres but low in fat. It moves our metabolism faster and helps you to burn more calories than usual and of course, it builds our immune-system strong.

Eat sensibly--
--Eating multiple snacks or to have variety in meals isn't a bad habit but, only if you are sure and mindful of how many extra calories you're taking in.

--Snack only when you're hungry. More than maximum people are fat or over-weight because they keep on eating food of calorific values even when they don't feel hungry.

--Ask to reduce the cheese by few % in your pizzas and burgers. It will provide you less calories with the taste of cheese.

--Try to take to take simple regular popcorn instead of flavored or buttered popcorn. You'll have to compromise with the taste, but after a few months you'll feel good to feel the change in yourself.

--Few small changes can make a big difference in your waistline.Choose the skimmed milk or lesser cream milk instead of full-cream milk.

Don't stay empty stomach for more than 4 hrs--
--Eat the fruit directly instead of juices, you'll get more fibres and antioxidants with balanced calories. And also you'll save some sugar added to juice.

--Keep on supplementing glucose in middle of your work, it won't let your brain tired.

--Drink plenty of water. It is quite a myth that you should drink 8-10 glasses of water per day.Drink water according to the needs of your body, like, if you're tall then you'll need more water than the short-heighted people, you need more water when your protein intake is more, if you take part in any type of more physical and mental activity.

--When you're at home cut some vegetable slices of tomato or carrot etc. and keep on eating in between your routine.

NOTE:--
--There is no such things as bad food. It's just your approach......the quality, quantity and need of the food you're taking in.

--Try to limit yourself to vegetarian food.

--Always keep your dental hygiene.Clean your mouth and tooth after every meal.

--Try meditation and yoga. Its really great exercise to keep up your oxygen levels, maintains your mental balance and burn calories without even moving an inch.

And rest of all....feel good.Doing such things because of compulsion that doesn't make you feel good and leave you in unnecessary stress can produce 'cartisole'.....which doesn't allows the calories to burn and also affects your immune-system.

1. Dos and don'ts for YOUTH for a healthy lifestyle....

Hi...

Im Akshay Narnaware an engg. student. I'm a Science enthusiast(physics) also a health and fitness freak.
Few of my articles have also published in local hindi newspaper(http://www.naidunia.com/Details.aspx?id=78386&boxid=27292188).

I have faced some health and nutrition problems in my earlier years of college as i wasn't aware of the college lifestyle.I can see the students around me struggling to stay fit and energetic after the long hours of college and then few of them attend some coaching classes. It takes near about an hour or so, for any physical-workout session and its really hard to get an hour free after the day's exhaustion.

I have also seen that the students who somehow manage to go to gyms and fitness centres don't get the proper guidance. The proper guidance means, what is good for you , what increases your level of fitness or whatever the goals you setted-up for your fitness .If other person is getting results with a workout plan it may not work with you. Its simple that the genetics and the lifestyle of the other person doesn't match with yours. And lots of fitness centres and gym trainers are making people and specially students to follow a workout plan or schedule of some renowned celebrity or some world-class body-builders. Even, the people, watch a video on you-tube or any other website and blindly try out the training-style of the world class body-builders or celebrities without hesitation. This what i think is not certainly right because the lifestyle, the training-style, the diet plan , the body genetics, the environment around etc. counts much on your fitness level. So, following blindly the workout plan of a celebrity or any body-builder is simply stupidity until and unless it works with you.

Here i'm suggesting some of the points you should work-on before following any workout plan. You might find it time consuming at a first sight but believe me its nothing like that.

1. First of all, make-up your mind and set a short-term goal for your fitness level you wish to achieve.Prepare yourself psychologically for the exercise and eating habits, it might lead to change a little in your daily routine.

2. Find a fitness centre or gym who provide proper guidance.Ask the people around you , your friends, neighbors, relatives etc. about the gym who provide the proper guidance.Get their names and address.I'm sure you'll get the multiple answers from all of them.

3. Visit the gym and fitness centres.Talk to the trainers about how they suggest and train people. Then analyse all of them who's the closest of your fitness goals. If you don't get enough time to visit no. of gyms, ask the trainer of your nearest gym, if they can help you to achieve your fitness goals.

4. Get a friend ready to go to gym regularly with you.
There are people and students who don't feel like to do anything and specially exercise alone, its not a bad habit. It happens sometimes you feel lazy and dizzy and don't wish to exercise today, in this condition friends helps a lot. They'll kick your ass, say u some bad words and get you out of the bed.

5. And, a rainy day or a cold-day is not a valid excuse to miss your workout.

NOTE:--
-->Students who wish to follow the yogic exercises instead of gym and fitness centres can also follow these steps.

-->Rest of all, use your mind, after all its your body and you understand it better than anyone--

In my next post i am posting some basic-exercises plan with few eating habits.
